Who is this Mr.Clause?

Published by purpledragonfly under Christmas, Santa

I would like to know. He lives up north in an isolated compound at the north pole where no body really wants to travel to and investigate, and he has a cult of devoted elves.  Are they really elves? Does he own them? Slavery was outlawed a long time ago Mr.Clause! Does he have a permit for that so called sleigh?  Who makes all those toys? Is he using child labor? I’m not too sure I like this guy. He never wears anything but that red suit. Right there that seems odd. I mean who wears the same outfit year after year?

I’d like to know what he is really doing up there in his home. And why does he have all those reindeers? What’s up with that?? Who needs that many? I would think one would be enough. Why does he never take Mrs.Clause on these road trips? Is he making “special” stops at all the “naughty” girls homes? I’m just sayin!

Looks very suspicious to me. But who am I to question the fat man’s activities. As long as he drives sober, cleans up any reindeer droppings while in my hood and brings my gifts, I’m not going to report him. Just a note to fatman “bring me what I want. You know what I mean.”  and Merry Christmas!

Oh Canada!

OK….I have been looking at the new mascots for the Olympics now for a few days. I hate them. They look like some weird experiment that went terribly wrong. Seriously!?! Do we have to have these creatures represent Canada? We are a melting pot of people up here! These stuffed thingies look like a mix of pokemon and a bobblehead! Honestly, how can we be proud of these?! I mean really, just look at the silly names… Quatchi, miga and sumi. Sound like names for a bunch of hamsters.

I know that I am not buying any of them. I am embarrassed to say I’m a Canadian at this point. The American’s have Bush and we have Quatchi. Maybe we can sell Quatchi to them? He might make a good president?..lol

Yes this is all just my opinion. My way of spreading Christmas cheer… Buy a thingy for your kids! You know they want one! Hey! if you want you can buy me one too! I can think of many ways to have fun with it.

My shopping trip

Published by purpledragonfly under Events, review, shopping

Yesterday we drove down to Bellingham,Washington. We wanted to see if the the savings was worth it. Well let me tell you, it was. I have been wanting to get some new boots and some good walking shoes. Here in Abbotsford there isnt much to choose from. We have The Bay, Sears, Wal-mart, Zellers and a few smaller shoe stores. I have been to them all and found nothing I really want to buy. Well I did find a pair of boots for 130.00, but I just didnt want to spend that much. I was really surprised at the big selection of shoes in Bellingham. Bellis Fair Mall has about 5 shoe stores and then there are the 5 anchor stores that also have shoes. We went to them all.

We tried on at least a dozen shoes in each store. Finally found boots at Kohl’s and shoes for Gregg and I found my walking shoes. The boots I got would have cost about 90.00 at home, I got these for 30.00! Same with the shoes, we paid half the price. We also stopped at Walmart and I bought a winter puffy coat for 10 bucks! It would of cost about 50.00 at home. We definitely saved money.

So, I want to go back! There was so much to look at but we just didnt have the time. I know we will be going back soon. We both will need runners soon.  I did notice that there were some items that were priced the same as at home. Make-up and some brands of clothes were maybe a buck cheaper, so I didnt buy any.

Maybe mom will want to go next week? Hey sis! you want to go too?

hehehe
