Happy Birthday Colby!

Its birthday time again. WOW! can you believe it, Colby is 19 today! Where does the time go?

You have grown in to a strong caring man.

Colby you always bring tears of joy to my eyes and lots of love to my heart. You are the clown of the family. I love everything that you are and what you will be. There can never be another you. I am so lucky to have you. Happy Birthday Son! I love you so very much!

Weekend Visit

Colby called me friday and surprise surprise he decided to come for a visit. We had a good time. Took him to go see his grandparents which turned out better than I thought it would. Dad was actually very happy and smiling lots and even talking. It was nice to see him like that. We ran in to my sister-inlaw and her daughter in the parking lot when we got there and gave her the wedding photos Gregg had taken that night. After our visit we went to Rogers and rented a video “I am Legend” with Will Smith. Not too bad. Not his best work but it was good. We relaxed and enjoyed our evening.

Gregg just left to take Colby to the bus depot. He has to get back since he now has a full time job as a plumber’s apprentice. He is really enjoying the job. Anyways, the rest of the day I think we will be lazy. I have had a bad attack from my sciatica nerve once again, but this time it has hit both my legs. Its been a very painful few days. I feel a bit better today but not by much. I’m hoping it will get better fast. Hard to sleep when every way I turn it hurts.

The Weekend

It started friday with Colby showing up. We didn’t go see a movie. Instead we Went to the mall and bought Colby a CD and grabbed some KFC to go. Got home and watched TV. Saturday was the wedding. It was a simple ceremony. Very nice. The reception was great. We all had a good time. Some of us had a few drinks. I know I wasn’t the only one. We all danced till the cows came home. Sunday Colby grabbed a bus in the morning and headed back to Kamloops. Gregg and I laid around for the rest of the day. Gregg took a lot of pictures and is organizing and editing them. Soon they will be up on our flickr page.

So that was our weekend. This week I have to clean the deck and get it ready so we can wash it on saturday. Each floor takes turns washing their decks. It gets really dirty over the winter. What else? I guess thats it for now.
