House Full

Our home seems a bit fuller now with Skeeter here. We dont mind, he is a great addition to our family. He is such a happy dog. Soon we will have another dog with us. We have a new foster dog coming this weekend. I sure hope having 2 will work out in a condo. I guess we will have to figure out how to train both of them together. With my bad wrist we will have to each walk a dog.

I do have to say that having Skeeter here has made my dizzies a lot less. I had a couple days this week that were rough, but since he has been here I think I’ve only had about 10 dizzy days in these 2 months. I still have the daily dizzies that I cope with. I can only hope that it will keep getting better.

With the weather getting warmer and the sun setting later, we can now go for walks in the evening. This will be great to help Gregg loose weight and for me to get in shape. All these years of dealing with my dizzies and back pain and so many other health issues, I am starting to feel a bit more in control and able to start doing more. I do have to get my wrist fixed soon. Once that is done I will be able to do so much more. I have an ultrasound on April 30th.

I did start a new project that I have been wanting to do for a while now. I started scanning all the photos in the house. This will be a huge job. It really needs to be done so that I can get rid of all the printed photos. I will keep some and put them in albums, but the rest are going. Once all that is done I have some old VHS tapes that I need to copy to my PC and put on to dvd.

Well I better get to some cleaning. Need to make room for the new dog and have to stay on top of the vacuuming and dusting since Skeeter has a thing about dust. Oh yeah, I cut all my hair off. I wanted to have it short for the summer.

Dog Days

It’s been a week now with Skeeter. i forgot what it was like to have a dog around…lol. He is a great little guy. So happy and quiet. Just wants love all the time. There have been a few accidents and he peed on the carpet. Most of the time he is good and can hold out for a few hours. Just the last 2 days have been off.

Anyways, I got busy and uploaded all my videos, finally. I want to get Skeeter on vid and put it on the blog. He looks so funny when he plays with his stuffies.

So my next project is to get all my photos scanned. I want to do all my childhood photos. I also have to redo some of Mom’s pics. Then I need to get a shoebox full of negatives scanned. I have no idea what all is on those. Might find some interesting pics.

What else? Well my IC is finally getting better. I spend most of January lying around in pain and jacked up on meds. Not fun. I hope that some day there is a cure for IC. Until then, I have to suffer when I get a flare-up. The part I hate is after wards. I feel so weak. I cant do anything and all the lying around just makes me weak and lazy. Now I have to start walking and doing yoga and then hopefully I can use my bike soon.Would be nice to take the bikes into Vancouver this summer and ride around the Seawall. I also want to try rollerskating this year. I use to love it. I dont like Rollerblades. Plus I dont think I will be able to balance on them with my dizzy spells.

I guess Mom, Rudy and Gizy will be home this coming weekend. Wonder what all Mom found at the flea markets in California? I know she said she was Bra shopping again….lol. I’ll do a post and let you know what she brings back. Well, I think that’s it for now.

UPDATE:health

I saw my new Urologist yesterday. He seems like a nice man. He is young , so I guess he will be around for a while. So we talked for a bit and I told him that I had gotten some antibiotics from my doctor and that they were helping. He gave me  another 3 days worth. Basically I had a very bad Urinary tract infection. I tell you it was not fun. I was starting to feel the pain in kidney area. Its a good thing it didn’t get that far. I’ve had kidney infections in the past and they are few painful.

Anyways, we decided to do nothing else for now. Don’t want to go poking around unless we really need to. I’ll try to get my IC under control again now that the infection is gone. All I need to do is watch what I eat and drink. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. If not, then I need to go see him again and he will take me in and put a scope in my bladder and take a peek.

So thats it! I am feeling so much better today. I almost feel human again.

Pills, Pills and More Pills

So I went to see my doctor yesterday afternoon. I had to do something to help get rid of all the pain I have been having lately. A while back I thought I was just having a bad IC flare-up. So I saw the Doctor and did a urine test and Nothing showed. So I have just been taking my regular pills in hopes that the pain would go away. Well it didn’t. This past weekend I was is so much pain I could of ripped my bladder right out of my body.

I finally told Gregg that I needed to see the Doctor or go to the E.R. The pain was horrible. If you have ever had any kind of a burning pain when you pee, you understand what I mean. Now just triple that pain. I think giving birth was less painful.

I saw my Doctor at 4:30pm. I told him that I have a bacterial infection or maybe a bladder infection. He gave me a script and I went to the lab to do another urine test, it was 6pm before I got the first pill down. The pain lessened slightly at about 10pm, but I did take painkillers. This morning I am feeling  much better. I can actually pee without wanting to pass out from the pain. My back still hurts though.

Tomorrow I finally see my new Urologist. I hope he is well educated with IC. If not, I guess I will have to teach him a few things…lol.

Anyways, With all the pills and all the liquids I have been drinks I feel like a drunken beached whale sloshing around in waves. I think I am on my way to getting better. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. It would be nice to be down to 2 pills a day again instead of 10.
