Michele Bardsley – Broken Heart

This is her forth book out of the new series she is writing. I have really enjoyed these books. There is romance and humor and excitement. Its not an “edge of your sit” book, but its a good read if you just want to get away from real life.

I love to find new authors to read. I can tell you that Michele Bardsley is one that I will keep on reading. Her skills as a writer are worth it. She doesn’t do what some others do as in detailing every single scale on a dragons body. When authors detail too much I lose interest and end up not reading them again. She describes things as the novel proceeds but doesn’t linger and go overboard.

One more thing I enjoyed, the love scenes. They were good but not to a point were I was sick of reading it. When a book has sex every 10 pages, it gets boring. Michele doesn’t do that.

So what’s the Series about? well, its about Vampires, Zombies, Fairies and of course Dragons! Everything happens in a small town called Broken Heart. Yes its all fantasies, but its a good fantasy!

So go to you local library or go buy it and read it.

  1. I’m The Vampire That’s Why
  2. Don’t Talk Back to Your Vampire
  3. Because Your Vampire Said So
  4. Wait Til Your Vampire Gets Home

She also has a few other books to check out. You can follow Her on here or here.

Neutrogena

I have used Neutrogena in the past and found that it was a good product. I don’t know why I stopped using it? Maybe it was the cost? Some of the items can get costly. Anyways, I did a ton of research on anti-wrinkle creams. Out of all of them there were 2 that stuck out. RoC and Neutrogena. So I looked up the companies to find out more.

RoC is a brand that has been around for a very long time. Its a brand that can be trusted. BUT, they still test on animals. So that was an out for me. I don’t like to use products that are tested on animals or have animal products in them.

I looked up Neutrogena and couldn’t find anything anywhere about them doing animal testing. Joy! All the sites I looked at said that they do not test on animals or use animal products. Good!

I just don’t see why we need to test things on animals. Its just not needed anymore.

Well I bought Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti-wrinkle Cream. It has Retinal in it. Simply put, Vitamin A. I’ve been using it since Saturday and so far I haven’t noticed much except that my skin feels very soft. I don’t have many wrinkles to begin with so it will take a bit of time to notice any difference there. I have had a bit of an outbreak of acne on my chin, but that usually happens when I try something new. It clears up in a week. I’ll do an update in a month.

Mineral Makeup – sample 4

So I got my 4th sample last week, but was too sick to try it out. I tried it over the weekend. This one was from Pure Luxe Cosmetics. I ordered 10 samples for 13.00. The sample sizes are good for at least a dozen uses if not more.

All the colors are great. I really like the product. This is the best line of all 4 samples. But once again, it was a bit messy. Working with powders is just not for me. I wish it was easier. I always end up with eye shadow on my cheeks when I apply it to my eyes. The only way to avoid this is by adding water. I also noticed that all the samples did two thing the same, enlarged my pores and showed the creases under my eyes.

The foundation colors are a perfect match for my skin. The blush is very subtle. Natural looking. I will order this in the future. I think that any mineral makeup that I will use, will only be done when I travel. It lasts all day and doesn’t melt. So it will be great when we head to Mexico again.

I have decided to go back to regular makeup. I ‘m going to be going to Clinique. I trust their products. I have never had a problem with them in the past. At least now I know more about mineral makeup. I wasted 30 bucks but I have all the samples I can use for traveling. Good thing is, it will never go bad, so it will last and last.

3 Fat Chicks

The Traveller

Image by Delicious Monster via Flickr

I have been a member of a site called “3 Fat Chicks” for a few years now. Back when Gregg and I first started the “L.A. Weight loss” program. Well, Gregg was on it and I followed him. Paying for 2 people was just silly. As we started the diet we looked for online help also. 3 Fat Chicks was one of the first sites I landed on.

I have joined many others, but never found everything I needed. 3 Fat Chicks has it all. No matter what diet you are trying or maybe you are just looking for some healthy recipes, this is a great place to start. You might even find a friend or two.

Go take a look! Look in the forums to find what you need. The main home page has a lot of drop down lists to search through. I think you will all find something to help you in some way.
